Documentation beats reassurance.<\/strong> “Everything’s on track” is worthless. Dated photos, measurable milestones, and written weekly reports are the standard. If a service can’t show you a sample report before you sign, keep looking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One accountable name.<\/strong> Ask exactly who visits the site and how often. A company that sends “someone from the team” isn’t oversight; it’s a subscription to vagueness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invoice verification is non-negotiable.<\/strong> The single most valuable habit in remote renovation is refusing to pay any invoice until an independent person confirms the work it describes actually exists. Most disasters we hear about started with payments running ahead of progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look for skin in the game locally.<\/strong> Someone who owns and maintains property in that market themselves – not just manages it – understands what corners get cut and where. Ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
